I'm not sure if other reviews were written by the staff themselves, but this office has given myself and my wife the worst experience we've ever had in a doctor's office.
Then we met the doctor who was actually very kind and polite (a welcome relief) but asked the same questions read off of a computer screen for our 4-day, week, and 2-week appointments. When we asked questions about rashes, bumps, and anything else, the only reply was, "oh, that's normal." It's great if it's normal, but as new parents, we'd like to know what these rashes and bumps are.
Dr.Smith and her Staff have always been polite and respectful however I just didn't really feel like she was the best pediatrician for my kids. There was an accumulation of this such as being given the wrong appointment time and when I show up I'm told my appointment was canceled. Not only that but if you're 15 mins late the appointment will be cancelled (understandable) but if the doctor is late the staff won't even address you. Also a few concerns I had about my kids I felt were ignored or shrugged off.
To anyone considering taking their child here, reconsider. Most parents have busy lives and to not be able to go to your child's doctor and have simple questions answered just adds more stress.
First time coming here switch to this doctor because of a family member referral but so far me nor my son are not feeling very welcomed or comfortable had an appt at 8:30 but my phone cut off so couldn't use the gps so we stopped at a village in just to call them to tell them we were running late and for direction and with no hesitation or sympathy they told us to reschedule now. When I called its was 8:50 that's only cause no one would let us use a phone to google the doctors number anyways both me and my son had to miss school today because we took there 10:45 opening I can understand the 15 min. Policy but me and my son was up there by 9hoping to be seen earlier but nope we didn't get called till maybe 11:15 and I have a cranky two year old at this point to sum it all up we didn't leave till a lil after 12 just for her to say my son has a cold and it will pass
When we had our daughter at Brandon Regional, she was one of the recommended pediatricians. She was also the closest to our new house so naturally we figured we'd try her out.
My daughter has been seen here since birth. She is almost 4 and i like the office and staff but majority of the time i feel rushed . One time she never told me what she was prescribing my daughter with and how was it to be given .....wasnr very happy and comfortable about that. i had to call back when i realized it, then it was not the pharmacy when i went ..... 945am till 2pm
My kid has been going to Dr. Smith for a few years. She is a great doctor. Dr. Smith is respectful, attentive, kind and very knowledgeable. The wait time isn't bad and the staff is nice. If you call after hours, Dr. Smith's answering service will take a message and send it to her and she will call you back within 10 minutes.
All of this caused us to seek out another doctor in Brandon, and the experience there has been a lot more pleasant. We're getting questions answered in a more personable way, and the office staff is very pleasant.
From the minute we walked into the office, we recognized the office staff was abhorrently rude and disrespectful - from a sign on their window that basically accused parents of always bringing children late and as such would be charged $25 in the future (In a few more words but could have been written more politely) to the front receptionist who closed the window and would scold the first person to try and get a question answered. As a parent and new patient, if we can't get our questions answered by a receptionist about insurance necessities and anything else, that's a deterrent in of itself.
